The Tornadoes won their 32nd straight game dating back to their state championship run last season and improved to 9-0 with a hard-fought victory against the Golden Knights. Logan Cookinham had a goal and an assist in the contest. Alexis Bates and Amanda Sweet scored the other Poland goals with Lily Martin assisting on a goal and Jessica Batson making seven saves.
Rory Richard scored her 18th goal of the five game season thus far for Holland Patent, who suffered its first loss of the season (4-1). It is also her program record 42nd career goal. Stephanie Gocholski made three saves for the Knights.
Boys Soccer
Frankfort-Schuyler 5, Little Falls 2*
After a 1-1 tie midway through the game, the Maroon Knights offense kicked into high gear with four goals in the final 38 minutes of play. David Schmatt scored twice for Frankfort-Schuyler and made five saves, Malik Coulthurst had a goal and an assist, and both Connor Grates and Almir Mujick each had a goal and an assist in the win. Daniel Shmat also made seven saves for the Knights.
