The Oneida County Sheriff’s Department has released 11 inmates from the Oneida County jail who were being held on parole violations, following a directive from the New York State Division of Parole.
Two of the inmates released are classified as sex offenders, and one of them was released with an electronic monitoring device, according to Sheriff Robert Maciol.
Maciol says there are no positive cases of coronavirus at the jail, and none of the inmates were experiencing any flu-like symptoms when they were released.
