WATERVILLE, N.Y. - The Waterville Central School District will be closed on Monday following the death of a 12-year old student.
Owen Fortnam died on Wednesday in a sledding accident. According to his obituary, Owen was a happy, loving, and energetic boy with an amazing sense of humor.
He was a sixth-grade student at Memorial Park Elementary School in Waterville.
The school posted on social meida on Friday afternoon that there will not be classes on Monday so the community can attend Owen’s funeral services.
His funeral is being held at 11:00 A.M. at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, Kloster & Northrop Memorial Chapel. It’s located at 210 E. Main Street in Waterville.
Calling hours will take place on Sunday at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
