UTICA-The First Presbyterian Church on Genesee Street opened their doors for this year's Thanksgiving Feast. A large crowd turned up for today's Thanksgiving feast.
Today's meal was complete with all of the Thanksgiving entres you could think of. A line of hungry people gathered as volunteers served this year's feast.
Estimating a high turnout, orgainizers asked that people make reservations in advance so they could get an estimated number on how many people were going to be there. They also needed to know how much food that they had to cook.
Volunteers who keep coming back to help out say the most rewarding part of this event is to see the smiles on people's faces.
"Its very rewarding, we do it not only with church members. But volunteers come in from all over the community contributions come from all over the community. Its very rewarding to see young kids here participating as well as parent from every year that we've done it." said Dinner Coordinator Tom Wattles.
