UTICA, N.Y. – Two Oneida County restaurants have received warnings after failing to follow the guidelines for essential businesses set by Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s executive order.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating complaints about businesses in violation of the order, and issuing the written warnings.
Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente said in his press conference Friday that he would not be identifying which establishments received warnings. If a business is issued a formal citation, more details may be released.
Picente announced last week that the sheriff’s office would begin enforcing state mandates for essential and non-essential businesses after several residents reported violations.
