ONEONTA, N.Y. – Two SUNY Oneonta students will be suspended after college officials say they were photographed at a gathering over the weekend -- and those photos were posted to social media.
According to President Barbara Jean Morris, the students were in violation of the Code of Student Conduct, and state requirements for social distancing.
In a statement, Morris said, in part:
"We have zero tolerance for this type of irresponsible and unsafe behavior and will always pursue this immediate action in the spirit of the overwhelming number of SUNY Oneonta students who followed safety protocols and lost out on a semester on campus because of the behavior of a few."
Morris says the college is drafting charges against the students that will include immediate suspension.
