Two children from Taberg are facing charges after they allegedly prank called New York State Police.
Police say around 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 2, the state police communications desk in Oneida received multiple calls from a male attempting to order food. Shortly after that they received a call from the same number from a female requesting help, claiming her mother is on the floor. Police say they heard a scream and then the call disconnected.
Police say a 14-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl were misusing emergency services by prank calling state police.
The two children were each arrested and charged with misdemeanor third-degree falsely reporting and incident. They were issued appearance tickets for Oneida County Family Court.
