UTICA, N.Y. – Two Utica men were sentenced Wednesday, after both were found guilty of drug trafficking in February.
Abner Peralta, 30, was sentenced to five years in federal prison, with four years of supervised released and a fine of $650.
Luis Colon, 35, was sentenced to time served.
Peralta and Colon were both found guilty conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and the distribution of cocaine. Peralta was also found guilty of possession with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of crack cocaine.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Peralta had a ‘stash house’ in Utica where he kept drugs and other paraphernalia, and dealt cocaine in the area for one year from 2016 to 2017.
