UTICA – Two Utica residents are facing charges after drugs and a weapon were found during a search on Schuyler Street, according to the Utica Police Department.
Police say on Oct. 2, members of the department’s Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at 1115 Schuyler Street as part of an investigation into the possession and sale of illegal narcotics. During the search of the residence, police found a quantity of cocaine, heroin, an illegally possessed .380 semi-automatic handgun, and a quantity of cash.
Travis King, 38, and Jazinique Huyler, 23, are each charged with the following:
- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia
- Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Criminal possession of a firearm
