2 Utica teens charged in shots fired investigation

Two Utica teens are facing felony charges in connection to a shots fired incident that occurred last month, according to the Utica Police Department.

UTICA – Two Utica teens are facing felony charges in connection to a shots fired incident that occurred last month, according to the Utica Police Department.

Police say on Aug. 26, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Dudley Avenue for a report of a fight and shots fired. When police arrived on scene, they found several spent shell casings in that area.

Police say when the call came in, the majority of the people involved had already fled the scene, and an investigation then began by the department’s GIVE Team.

After witnesses were interviewed and surveillance video was reviewed, police found that 18-year-old Robert Bradley and 17-year-old Amir Bowman, both of Utica, had been in possession of and/or fired a handgun.

Robert Bradley is charged with the following felonies:

- Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Criminal possession of a firearm
- Fourth-degree conspiracy

Amir Bowman is charged with the following felonies:

- Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Criminal possession of a firearm
- First-degree reckless endangerment
- Fourth-degree conspiracy
