LEBANON, N.Y. – Two adults and two children were thrown from an Amish buggy after being hit by a car in Madison County on Friday, Oct. 8.
New York State Police say 19-year-old Madison Mae Davis, of South Otselic, was driving her car west on Lebanon Road around 6 p.m. when she hit a horse-drawn buggy traveling in the same direction.
A 22-year-old man, a 27-year-old woman and two kids, ages 1 and 2, were ejected from the buggy upon impact. All four were taken to Upstate University Hospital to be evaluated.
Davis was taken to Community Memorial Hospital and was later released.
Police say Davis received a ticket for failure to use due care for an animal.
