Officers stopped 38-year-old Erving Gary around 6 a.m., while he was driving near the intersection of Churchill and Highland avenues in Utica. Police say the stop was related to an earlier incident, where Gary allegedly pulled out a handgun during an argument.

Both suspects were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm.
