UTICA – Two people are facing felony drug charges following a search of an apartment in Utica, according to the Utica Police Department.
On November 14, Utica police executed a search warrant at 100 Rutger St., Apt. 207, following an investigation into the possession and sale of illegal narcotics.
Police say that during the search, more than ½ ounce of heroin and drug paraphernalia were found and seized.
Anthony Alston, 54, of Utica – who is currently a New York State parolee – is charged with the following:
- Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Felony)
- Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Misdemeanor)
- Second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
Kaela Amador, 24, of Herkimer, is charged with the following:
- Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Felony)
- Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Misdemeanor)
- Second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
