HAMILTON, N.Y. – New York State Police have arrested two people accused of stealing five snowmobiles and two snowmobile trailers, altogether worth about $100,000.
Branden Ward, 27, of Brookfield, and 24-year-old Realynn M. Schultz of Norwich have both been charged with second-degree grand larceny, a C felony.
The two allegedly stole the snowmobiles and trailers from behind a business in Hamilton.
Police say the two trailers were found at different locations in Chenango County, and three of the snowmobiles were located at a home on State Route 23 in the town of Plymouth. The other two are yet to be found.
Ward was remanded to the Madison County jail without bail. Schultz is also being held at the jail, but her bail is set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
Both were scheduled to appear in court Friday, Nov. 6.
