The 2020 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class has been announced and it's star-studded.
Nine new members will be inducted into the hall this year.
Los Angeles Lakers legend, the late Kobe Bryant, San Antonio Spurs great, Tim Duncan, and Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics superstar - Kevin Garnett headline the class.
WNBA champion and league MVP Tamika Catchings joins them by being elected into the hall in their first year of eligibility.
Baylor women's basketball champion head coach Kim Mulkey, two-time NBA champion coach Rudy Tomjanovich, five-time Division II head coach of the year Barbara Stevens, and four-time NCAA coach of the year Eddie Sutton will be enshrined.
Longtime FIBA executive Patrick Baumann rounds out the class being selected as a direct-elect by the international committee.
The induction is scheduled for August 29 in Springfield, Massachusetts. If the coronavirus pandemic is still ongoing and forces a postponement, there is a plan in place for an October ceremony.
