More than a year after the Warriors won the program's first state championship, the team finally got the new season underway, Tuesday, and picked up right where they left off.
After unveiling their state championship banner and honoring their seniors at Clinton Arena, the Warriors took it to the Little Red, peppering goal Shelby Howells with 30 shots and scoring on five of them.
Senior Mia Lopata scored a goal and an assist, as did sophomore Drew Kopek, her goal coming shorthanded.
Senior Ari WIlliamson, junior Finley Davignon, and sophomore Sadie Davignon were the other goal scorers for Clinton. Sadie Davignon's was the first of her varsity high school career.
Sophomore Alyssa Nardslico and senior Madison Dery had assists. Casey Clausen made nine saves for her first career shutout.
Perri Cronk is the fourth senior that was honored by the Warriors, Tuesday.
