WHITESBORO N.Y. – Some schools in the Whitesboro Central School District will be closed on Tuesday after the school confirmed a positive case of coronavirus among the district community.
According to a post to the district’s website, the Whitesboro high school, middle school and Parkway Middle School will be closed as the health department works on contact tracing. Elementary school students are not impacted, according to the post.
Students in 6th through 12th grades will learn remotely Tuesday, and will follow their normal schedule via Zoom or Google Classroom.
In-person learning at all three schools is expected to resume on Wednesday, Nov. 4 for students in Cohort C. Tuesday’s closure will cause a shift in schedules for all cohorts moving forward, with Cohort A returning Thursday and then Cohort B on Friday.
