Three brothers from Rome have been sentenced to prison time after they admitted to their roles in ATV thefts and other burglaries in the local area, according to the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office.
Timothy Fancher Sr., Alvin Fancher III and Ernest Fancher were arrested back in November and they were each charged with felony third-degree criminal possession of stolen property. The brothers were charged following the thefts of five four-wheelers and other burglary complaints throughout Oneida County.
Alvin Fancher was also charged with felony third-degree burglary in connection to a burglary in the town of Western last fall, and Timothy Fancher Sr. was also charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property in New Hartford.
On Wednesday, Alvin Fancher was sentenced to 1 ½ to 3 years in state prison. He had previously pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary.
On Thursday, Ernest Fancher was sentenced to 1 to 3 years in state prison with restitution. He had previously pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
Timothy Fancher was sentenced July 26 to 1 ½ to 3 years in state prison with restitution.
