UTICA, N.Y. – Three men are facing gun possession charges after Utica police found a loaded handgun in a vehicle Thursday night.
Around 9:45 p.m., Utica police and members of the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office approached a vehicle to talk with individuals who were under parole supervision while doing routine parole checks.
During that time, officers noticed the grip end of a gun poking out from under the front passenger seat.
All three men were asked to step outside of the vehicle so the officers could investigate. They retrieved the handgun and found that it was loaded.
All three men were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm.
