SYLVAN BEACH, N.Y. -- Three of the four people found unresponsive at Sylvan Beach Mobile Home Park last week from apparent drug overdoses are facing charges after police say five children were found in the home at the time of the incident.

All four suspects were arrested on Friday, July 23, three days after they were revived using Narcan and sent to hospitals for treatment.

Hope M. Croy, 46, and Paul M. Campanella, 53, were charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Matthew J. Conley, 34, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt.

The fourth person involved in this case is a 26-year-old man, but has not been named by police.

All five children, ages 2, 4, 5, 9 and 10, have been in the care of family members since the incident on July 20.

On July 22, police arrested 36-year-old Joshua J. Stimpson and 24-year-old Autumn Schneider in connection with the investigation after finding drugs, a rifle and brass knuckles in their home, also at Sylvan Beach Mobile Home Park.

Schneider was released that day, but arrested again Monday when police found fentanyl, cocaine, crystal meth and cash in her home.

In addition to the four overdoses in Sylvan Beach, two more were reported in the town of Vienna over a 24-hour period. One of them was fatal.

Oneida County issued an overdose spike alert on July 21.

It is not yet clear which drugs were used in any of the overdose cases.
