Little Falls, N.Y. - A local group that loves food called 315 Foodies attempted to get in the Guinness Book of World Records on Sunday and appears they have done so.
The 315 Foodies got an awful lot of food together to attempt to crush the current world record for longest charcuterie board and they did.
The original record was listed at 150 feet long but the Foodies wanted to double that and definitely break the record, and they more than doubled the previous record.
The official length of the board on Sunday was 315.3 feet long.
The group gathered at Veterans Memorial Park in Little Falls.
Charcuterie is the art of assembling meats and cheeses along with items such as fruit, nuts and crackers for quick and easy hors d'oeuvres and you serve them on a charcuterie board, just not usually as big as the one put together in Little Falls on Sunday.
315 Foodies co-founder Preston Moore called the day a great one for Central New York, "It was great. I mean it was so chaotic this morning, there were a million different things going on, a lot of moving parts, but at the end of the day, we broke the record, 315 Foodies, 315 owns the record for the largest charcuterie board. I think it'll be a long time before this is broken because this is a hell of a project."
All of that food did not go to waste. People were able to buy tickets and sample the fine cuisine after enjoying breaking the world record.
