SAUQUOIT, NY – Area residents got an early start on their holiday shopping Saturday.
The annual Sauquoit Valley Fine Arts & Crafts Show kicked off at the Sauquoit Valley Middle School and runs through Sunday.
Vendors from all over New York were there selling a wide variety of unique items.
The event, in its 40th year, is so popular, people had to be shuttled in by the busload.
Melinda Karastury, who works with the marketing and publicity committee of the craft show, says it’s the perfect place to find that special holiday gift.
“Get your Christmas list together and you can check it off. There are so many options here. There’s photography, ceramics, textiles, body lotions, candles.”
Money raised from the craft fair goes towards field trips and many other beneficial programs at the school.
