MARCY- CrossFit Mohawk Valley hosted the second annual Heartstrong event.

This brought more than 100 people to the fitness center to participate in a workout for a donation. They were asked to do exercises like sit-ups and wall sits, in teams of four.

Everyone was encouraged to wear red in support of heart health.

The chair for the event said getting the heart pumping is good for everyday health. "Most professionals and doctors will agree that fitness and moving is good for the heart, so anytime that you are up and moving and pumping the blood and making sure your limbs are going is always healthy," said Adam Lawless.

The crew ended up raising $1,366.
