The rain isn't going away anytime soon. Expect a few showers during the
day on Thursday and Friday, drying out Saturday, then they return for Sunday,
Monday, and could even extend into Tuesday. A very wet stretch of weather is
ahead, but at least we aren't expecting any severe weather.
Wednesday was a washout with lots of rain showers throughout the day as a cold
front moved through New York State. The rain has ended this evening, but there
are still a few storms that will move through our region tonight. Overnight,
expect mostly cloudy skies with areas of thick fog developing and low
temperatures near 60 degrees.
Thursday morning, watch out for areas of fog and low visibility if you're going
to be driving. Also, light rain showers will begin to develop causing wet roads.
Thursday afternoon high temperatures will be in the low to mid 70s with breezy
winds. We will dry out by the evening with partly cloudy skies overnight into
Friday will have the same weather pattern but with a better chance for showers
during the day, so keep the umbrella handy. This is because another cold front
will move through the region. High temperatures in the mid 70s during the
afternoon with breezy winds again. Dry by Friday evening and overnight into
Saturday with decreasing cloud cover.
Saturday is one of the few days we will have dry weather as high pressure builds
in. Partly cloudy skies during the day with cooler weather. Temperatures will
only rise into the low 70s.
This cooler weather lasts for Sunday with high temperatures still only near 70
degrees. The bad news is that the rain returns in the afternoon with scattered
showers as a stationary front begins to form.
The rain continues on Monday with even more showers and a few storms as well.
Tuesday, expect partly cloudy skies with a very low chance of rain but a few
showers are possible. Wednesday has the better chance for rain as a cold front
moves through. Much warmer with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
