A low pressure system will move directly through the state Tuesday bringing some wet weather. First,
we will start Tuesday morning with widespread moderate snow showers. This is because temperatures will be in
the 20s during the morning.
Tuesday afternoon, a strong South wind will bring some warmer air into the region. Highs will reach the
upper 30s. The snow will change to widespread rain for the afternoon. There could be some areas of freezing
rain in the higher elevations where temperatures are still around freezing.
Tuesday evening, the rain lightens up and changes back to snow for the North Country. The snow will continue
until Tuesday night.
Overall, the North Country is expected to get the heaviest snowfall accumulation. This is because the
precipitation will mostly stay as snow, whereas the Mohawk Valley and areas further South will see a
