American Heart Association accepting applications for Community Impact Grants

The American Heart Association will begin accepting nominations for Community Impact Grants on Jan. 6, 2020.

UTICA, N.Y. – The American Heart Association will begin accepting nominations for Community Impact Grants on Jan. 6, 2020.

The grants provide up to $40,000 to local organizations for projects and initiatives that improve community health. AHA is specifically looking for programs that encourage healthy eating, physical activity, reduce tobacco use and provide access to blood pressure screenings and education that can inspire healthy lifestyles for underserved populations.

The term of the proposed project is 12 months from June 1, 2020 - May 31, 2021.

Grant applications can be submitted online here.

Applicants are invited to attend the Heart Association’s Grant Application Workshop on Jan. 14 from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce Landmark Building in Downtown Utica.
