Another round of rain and snow returns late Monday night

A wintry mix arrives Tuesday and could make roads slippery.

We have a break in the snow on Monday, but come late Monday night into Tuesday morning we shall see the arrival of another low pressure system and with it a wintry mix. Overnight lows look to be in the low 30s and upper 20s which means when the system arrives we'll see quick changes in precipitation from snow to rain as you go down in elevation. That means we could see some slippery roads

We heard alot of calls about cars going off the road as we got our first snowfall of the season on Friday. Please drive carefully! Give yourself some extra time to get from place to place and adjust your speed accordingly to avoid skidding on the roadways.

Through Tuesday, all in all we are looking at about 0.5"-1.5" of rain and 1-3" of snow in the lower elevations. Higher elevations could see 4-6" of wet snow.

As colder air moves in behind that system we'll see lake effect snow on Wednesday.
