HERKIMER, NY – What’s football without a tailgate party?
That’s why Mohawk Valley football fans gathered at the Waterfront Grille in Herkimer Sunday for Assemblyman Marc Butler’s 15th annual United Way Tailgate Party.

For $25, tailgaters enjoyed a complimentary beverage, all the food they could eat, and the chance to win great prizes donated by local businesses.
Tim Reed, the Interim Executive Director of the United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area, says all the proceeds from the event will go to support the United Way’s various programs.
“Programs such as our safety net programs for overall support, education, and kids programs. So it’s a variety of programs that unfortunately, as much as we raise, more is needed.”
During the tailgate party, Assemblyman Butler and the owners of the Waterfront Grille, Rocky and Barb Fiato, were presented with plaques thanking them for their service to the United Way.
