UTICA, N.Y. – The defense attorney in the case of Naythen Aubain asked the judge for more time to receive and review a psychiatrist’s report during the latest court appearance on Wednesday.
"IT took over a month to get reports from other agencies, other facillities. In order for the report to be done correctly, we need to go over with a fine toothed comb, go through all those reports. A lot of those reports are pretty lengthy," saidTyksinski.

Aubain’s attorney, Adam Tyksinski, told the court the defense might pursue a psychiatric defense during the last court hearing on Nov. 6.
Aubain is facing first-degree murder charges for allegedly killing his grandmother and their elderly landlord in January of 2019.
The next court date is set for Jan. 8.
