UPDATE: Missing man in town of Westford found safe

Otsego County Sheriff Richard Devlin says that the missing man in the town of Westford has been found.

UPDATE: Otsego County Sheriff Richard Devlin says that the missing man in the town of Westford has been found.

Devlin says the man is mentally disabled, and he got separated from his group and was missing for several hours.

The man is currently being evaluated by EMS due to the warm weather conditions.

WESTFORD – Several police agencies are searching for a missing male in the town of Westford, according to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police and several emergency service agencies are searching for the missing person at the Betty and Wilbur David State Park. Deputies say that state Forest Rangers are also on their way to assist in the search.

The missing person is described as being a black male wearing an orange shirt and grey sweatpants. Deputies say no further information is available at this time.
