SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) (UPDATED) - A baby girl was killed and two other young girls were wounded by gunfire while in the backseat of a car in Syracuse.
Police said at a news conference Monday that the children were riding in a car with their mothers shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday when someone opened fire from a car headed in the opposite direction.
An 11-month-old girl was killed and a 3-year-old and 8-year-old were injured and expected to survive. Police say they've made no arrests and have no suspects.
They're asking anyone with information to come forward.
The victims' names haven't been released.
