COLUMBIA, N.Y. -- A fire broke out in a barn along Millers Mills Road in the town of Columbia, just after 1 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Several water tankers, as well as some portable ponds were brought to get water close enough to put out the fire.
Cedarville, Bridgewater, Frankfort, Mohawk, Richfield Springs, West Winfield, and Sauquoit fire departments were all called to the scene.
Officials say no animals were inside the barn, and no injuries were reported.
Cedarville's fire chief says they faced some trouble getting water to the fire.
"We had an issue with the water. We couldn't get enough water coming up and we have power lines going across the road so that's hindering our ability to put the fire out," he said.
There's no word yet on how the fire started. The barn is being considered a total loss.
