The very, very mild weather is here to stay. High temperatures reached the mid 70s on Thursday and Friday, but this level of warmth isn't expected to continue all weekend. This is because a warm front, a push of even warmer weather, is expected to bring more cloud cover to the region on Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures look to climb into the upper 60s both days.
For Boilermaker Sunday, expect cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid 50s in the morning. An east wind is expected to linger around all morning long. This means most of the race will be with the wind, beginning along the gradual turn by MVCC to Utica College. However, the turn from Champlin Ave to the finish line is expected to be into the wind. A round of rain is expected to take place in the morning, sometime between 8 am - noon. This rain isn't expected to last all day, with the afternoon expected to be dry and mainly cloudy.
For those running, plan on dressing in layers. The difference between dry and wet weather is big when temperatures are in the 50s and lower, so plan on having a few different clothing options. Good luck runners!
The weather warms up for Columbus Day, with highs back in the mid 70s.
