UTICA, N.Y. – Brandon Clark’s case has been adjourned to an undetermined date after a coronavirus cluster was reported at the Oneida County Correctional Facility, where he is being held.
According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, 11 inmates and a correctional officer at the jail have tested positive for the virus, and at least 30 inmates are quarantined due to possible exposure. Clark has not tested positive for the virus.
In February, Clark pleaded guilty to murdering 17-year-old Bianca Devins in Utica on Boilermaker Sunday last year. He attempted to change his plea to not guilty, but his request was denied earlier this week.
Clark was supposed to appear in court for sentencing on Nov. 10. The Oneida County District Attorney's Office says the hearing has not yet been rescheduled.
