NEW HARTFORD, NY - If there was ever a time to take a break and forget about politics and the coronavirus for just a few hours, Saturday was your night
The Broadway Theatre League of Utica took their show on the road - or at least to a parking lot - and hosted a pop-up drive-in movie at ParTech in New Hartford.
Tickets ranged from $20 per car for a standard ticket to $50 per car for a v.i.p. box full of tricks and treats for the whole family to enjoy.
Danielle Padula, executive director of the Broadway Theatre League of Utica, said to get everybody into the Halloween spirit, the feature presentation was Beetlejuice.
"Money raised tonight will go to Broadway Utica’s Rise for a Purpose campaign, it will also help our youth ambassadors out in a tremendous way. It's just a way for us to stay in the forefront of our community. That is what we are here for. The theater is dark right now, and we're just doing anything to illuminate our community."
Officials with the Broadway Theatre League of Utica say they hope to continue bringing events like this to the local community for a long time.
