UTICA, N.Y. – Broadway Utica announced several shows planned for the 2021 season, wich will begin Jan 2.
During the Broadway Utica’s Backstage Podcast, organizers announced the new lineup, including:
- “Officer and a Gentleman” in January
- “Hairspray” in February
- “Madagascar: The Musical” in March
- “South Pacific” in April
- “Jersey Boys” in April
- “Anastasia” in May
- “Waitress” in June
- "Summer: The Donna Summer Musical" in June
Executive Director Danielle Padula says the group has been working to reschedule shows since the coronavirus caused several cancellations and postponements.
“Your safety is our number one priority, so we have been working closely with shows to reroute and get them back to Utica. We are excited to bring you the season at the end of this month. We feel very confident and strong about our future. We are excited this downtime has given us time to do a lot of creative things,” said Padula.
