ROME, N.Y. – A Rome man was arrested Thursday and charged in the May burglary of an auto sales shop in the town of Lee.
Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol says the burglary has been under investigation since May 22.
Richard B. Nash, 41, has been charged with third-degree burglary and criminal mischief, both felonies.
According to Maciol, Potocki’s Auto Sales on Turin Road reported a burglary and notified authorities about a man seen going through vehicles on the lot.
Following the investigation, Nash was identified as a suspect. Maciol says Nash allegedly broke into the building to get secure keys for the vehicles. He is also accused of causing $250 worth of damage to a motor home at nearby RV Lawn and Sport Inc.
Nash was processed and taken to Oneida County Correctional Facility where he is awaiting arraignment.
