UTICA, N.Y. – Some central New York Democrats are coming together to achieve a common goal – help Bernie Sanders win.
CNY for Bernie will hold a public meeting to recruit volunteers on March 17 at The Other Side, 2011 Genesee St., Utica at 6:30 p.m.
“Our group is urging Bernie Sanders and his team to make a pit stop in April before the New York Primary heats up. Delegates are at stake and New York is a battleground,” said Keith Rubino, member of the group.
The grassroots group is looking for volunteers to knock on doors, participate in rallies and phone banks, and visit other areas in Herkimer, Oneida and Madison counties to help persuade voters to support Sanders.
