ILION, N.Y. -- Students at Central Valley Academy didn't just take the bus to school Wednesday – they spent a good portion of the day doing good deeds around their community.
For the past few weeks, through a student council-organized drive, the school has gathered items holiday baskets.
Everything from pudding to fruit to granola bars. It was all donated by students, staff, and even parents coming into school to drop the items off.
The students boarded a bus and traveled around Ilion and Mohawk delivering their basket of holiday cheer.
“I think it really brings us all together. I think it gets everyone in the spirit of the holiday so it's really good for everyone, the students the school,” said Taylor Listovich, a CVA senior.
They’ve done this every year since the schools merged, so it's been going on for about seven years.
