UTICA – Calling hours for Whitesboro Police Officer Kevin Crossley, who was killed in an on-duty accident in the village of Whitesboro on April 11, will be held Tuesday evening.
Crossley was a seven-year member of the Whitesboro Police Department, and he was a previous member of the Whitesboro Fire Department, where he served as a captain.
Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, and the funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Adirondack Bank Center. A law enforcement walk-through will be held prior to the mass at 10 a.m., and honors will follow the mass. The public is invited to attend the funeral.
The state Department of Transportation has issued a travel advisory from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, as heavier than normal traffic is expected during Officer Crossley’s calling hours. People are advised to plan their travel accordingly, but no road closures will take place.
The state DOT is working on a list of road closures for Wednesday, and we will pass along that information as it becomes available.
