A Canastota man wanted on an outstanding warrant is in custody and is now faces additional charges.
Whitesboro police say they pulled over 39-year-old Stephen George on Sauquoit Street Friday afternoon for a traffic stop and found drugs and drug paraphernalia in his vehicle. Police say during the stop George gave the officer a false name. Police say George had an active robbery bench warrant from the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.
Besides those robbery related charges, George is also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.
