Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced that the organization has re-signed goaltender Jake Kielly to a one-year, two-way contract.
According to capfriendly.com, Kielly would earn a $700,000 base salary if up with the Canucks in the national hockey league and $85,000 if with the Utica Comets.
The 24-year old goal miner is one of four goaltenders currently under contract with the Canucks.
He split the 2019-2020 season between the Comets and the Kalamazoo Wings in the ECHL before the season was cut short.
With the Wings, Kielly held a record of 7-11-4 and earned a 3.97 goals against average.
After joining the Comets in February, he recorded 1.84 goals against average with a 1-0-0 record.
The 2020-2021 AHL season is tentatively set to start on December 4.
