Carmelo Anthony has finalized a deal to return to the Portland Trailblazers for the 2020-2021 season.
Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Syracuse legend and former New York Knick has agreed to a one-year league-minimum deal to return to Portland.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports that Anthony wanted to show loyalty to Portland after they gave him an opportunity last season to return to the league.
In just weeks into his time with the Blazers, Anthony was named Western Conference Player of the Week and averaged 15.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and shot nearly 40 percent from 3-point range.
The 10-time all-star is 36 years old, entering his 17th season in the league and has yet to play in an NBA Finals.
He isn't going anywhere just yet.
