ROME- Officials with the Rome Fire Department rescued a cat from a home on Friday night. Four people have been displaced for the night.
The Deputy Chief for the Rome Fire Department told NEWSChannel 2 there was smoke coming from the rear of the home, and it took them about 10 minutes to get the fire under control.
He said they learned there was a cat inside, that they were able to get out safely.
No injuries, but there is damage to the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
