ROME, N.Y. -- Catholic Charities has a new office in Rome.
It's at 199 West Dominick Street – and if that address sounds familiar to you, it should. This is where the Neighborhood Center building is located.
Catholic Charities is sharing the space with the center.
Programs at this location include a food pantry, health comes care management and parenting classes.
“There is very much a need for it and we didn't scale down at all. We didn't expand. it's really the same number of people, it's a larger office space, and we were able to do that working very collaboratively with the Neighborhood Center,” said Denise Cavanaugh, with Catholic Charities.
The Rome space now has a handicap accessible food pantry that has already helped people who weren't able to get food before.
