ST. JOHNSVILLE, N.Y. -- Crews battled a late night fire in St. Johnsville at a home on the corner of Fox Road and Route 5.

Photos posted on Facebook by Terry Potoczny show just how massive the fire was at the home.

Officials say no one was living there at the time, and it as more than 200 years old.

Fort Plain, Canajoharie, South Minden and Oppenheim responded, which was home fully engulfed when they arrived.

Route 5 had to be shut down while they set up portable ponds.

The cause is still under investigation.
