NEW YORK MILLS, NY – The Hindu festival of Holi was celebrated by members of the Mohawk Valley India Association at the Roselawn Banquet Facility in New York Mills Sunday.
The celebration featured traditional food, music, and dancing.
Holi, also known as the festival of colors, is a two-day religious festival that welcomes the return of spring.
It is observed in March after the full moon.
The first night is celebrated with a large bonfire to burn away any evil spirits.
