POLAND, N.Y. -- One community came together Sunday afternoon to honor one of their own.
James Stanley passed away unexpectadly at the age of 65 on October 1st.
A 1975 Poland High School graduate was honored with a long parade of trucks, 122 to be exact.
Those who knew Stanley would describe him as loving, funny and an amazing man who would do anything for anybody.
"He is smiling, this is totally amazing. There are no other words, these people come together. People think truckers, you know...they're just truckers. This is a family, they are all family. They will take care of each other, its amazing" says Jim fiancee, Terri Victor.
Stanley worked as a truck driver for over 40 years. After retiring from Hanson Aggregates, he finally followed his dream and became an owner/operator of his own trucking business.
Many members of the community of all ages came out today, whether they were family, a friend, or just a commuity member.
