ILION, N.Y. – The Central Valley Central School District will switch to remote learning on Dec. 14 through the new year.
The Board of Education made the decision during a virtual meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 8.
Superintendent Jeremy Rich says the meeting was held in response to the rising cases in Herkimer County, including a positive case reported at Barringer Road Elementary School on Monday.
In-person and hybrid students are expected to return to normal schedules on Monday, Jan. 4, after holiday break.
Below is a video message posted by Rich on Wednesday.
