UTICA, N.Y. --- The Unitarian Universalist Church in Utica held an information session on how to prepare for extreme weather events.
The session was put on by the CREW group or Communities Responding to Extreme Weather.
The seminar highlighted some of the dangerous weather events that could happen in our area including flooding.
Those that attended the session were encouraged to take what they learned and pass it on to their neighbors.
"I hope they go home with concrete information on how they can be safer, their neighbors can be safer and then they tell other people in their community because not everybody in the community is at this meeting," said Workshop Organizer Barbara Freeman.
